出身地：横浜市。 1999年早稲田大学理工学部機械工学科卒業後、いすゞ自動車株式会社においてエンジン設計・開発業務に従事。 2001年中央国際特許事務所入所。2006年ゾンデルホフ＆アインゼル法律特許事務所入所、2012年～2014年北京支所、2016年からパートナー。 2021年8月、個の能力、個と個との連携が、クライアントにより大きなプラスを提供できると考え、組織の枠にとらわれない事務所を目指し、NYT特許事務所を設立。 特許（機械、制御分野、ソフトウエア）が専門。国内外の多数の企業を代理し、権利化業務、権利侵害問題、侵害訴訟等の業務を多く経験。 ドライブ、ゴルフ、ロードバイクが趣味。 Birthplace: Yokohama After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Waseda University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering in 1999, he worked on engine design and development at Isuzu Motors Ltd. In 2001, he joined Chuo International Patent Firm in Tokyo. In 2006, he joined Sonderhoff & Einsel Law and Patent Office, and from 2012 to 2014 headed its Beijing Office.  From 2016 to July 2021 he was a partner in that firm. In August 2021, the NYT partners was established with the aim of becoming an innovative patent leader that is not bound by the organizational limitations.  Convinced that there are better ways to collaborate with other attorneys and offer benefits for clients, he joined this firm. Specializing in machine, control, and software patents, he has represented many domestic and foreign companies and has extensive experience in prosecuting patent, infringements, and participating in infringement proceedings. On his days off, he enjoys driving, golf and bicycling.

He established the NYT Partners in order to create a unique group of elite professionals in the field of patent law. His hobbies include watching movies, stand up paddleboarding, and T-shirts.

東京都出身。 白百合女子大英語英文学部在学中、米国カンザス州Benedictine　Collegeへ1年半留学。 1998年同大学卒業後、国内企業にて外国特許・商標業務に従事する過程で、得意とする語学力を生かして、グローバルにクライアント様のブランドを形成し強化できるような弁理士を志す。 2002年～2003年ドイツにてドイツ語研修後、ドイツユースホステル協会及びミュンヘンのMitscherlich特許事務所にてインターンシップを行う。帰国後ドイツ系法律特許事務所に入所。 2011年弁理士登録後、国内特許事務所で主に商標・意匠・著作権の出願登録等の実務を行う。中小・大手企業の権利取得から海外展開まで、数多くのきめ細かい支援を行うとともに、東京商工会議所港支部・米国知的財産法協会等、国内外において商標・意匠実務をテーマとする講演多数。「商標法コンメンタール」〈新版〉（株式会社勁草書房、2022年）一部執筆。 2023年1月NYT特許事務所へ参画。 While attending in the Department of English Language and Literature at Shirayuri University in Tokyo, Ms. Masuda studied at Benedictine College in Kansas, USA as an exchange student for a year and a half. After graduation, she did an internship at the German Youth Hostel Association and Mitscherlich, one of Germany’s leading patent firms. During her professional career, she has gained extensive experience in trademark prosecution and design patent prosecution. She also advises and represents domestic and international clients in copyright, unfair competition prevention law and often infringement cases. She has conducted numerous seminars on trademark and design prosecution in Japan and abroad, including the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Joined NYT patent firm in January 2023.
